Louise also enjoyed playing for various London musicals including Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera and Chess. Louise was also active in the field of chamber music with her trio (flute, harp, viola) giving recitals at Music Societies throughout the UK, Purcell Room and recording for BBC Radio 3. Moving to Shandon with husband Colin in 1994, family life has been combined with teaching flute at Lomond School until 2018, the creation of two community musical projects (‘Rhu and Shandon Millennium Gloria 2000 and John Muir Songcycle 2014), chamber music recitals including Edinburgh Fringe, a USA tour with trio Vocali3e (soprano, flute, piano) in 2015, running annual ‘Flutes du Soleil’ and ‘Ukes du Soleil’ courses in the French Alps and Rhukulele in Rhu! Louise launched the Sandwich Series lunchtime concerts in 2012. This one will be the 80th!
