Damage to Seawall
In Feb 2019 A&B started removing the shrub, cutting down trees and repairing the seawall, starting from Stuckenduff and working North.
This is the section of the seawall likely to flood due to sea level rises and storm surges.
Budget contraints, as always, interfered and the clearing of shrub ceased.
In one section, residents have cleared the shrub.
The seawall also has extensive outbreaks of Japanese Kmotweed.
The A814 from Stuckenduff to the Briars is on reclaimed land and the integrety of the road depends on the integrety of the seawall.
