A local development plan is a document that sets out which types of development should take place where, and which areas should be protected from development. It also contains policies that inform the planning authority’s decisions on planning applications.

Also published is a spread sheet entitled “Who commented on what and where”, this can be used to find out in which issue the authority have placed your representation.
You should note that the planning authority is required to accept the reporters’
recommendations except in instances where there are specific reasons for not doing so as
set out in Section 19 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (as amended)
and in the Town and Country Planning (Grounds for Declining to Follow Recommendations
Regulations) (Scotland) 2009.
