The RSCT constitution has been approved by the Community Right to Buy Team at  the Scottish Government and is now being submitted to the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator with an application to become a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

RSCT’s bank account has now been opened and we will soon be collecting the pledged funds.  Our solicitor, Harper McLeod, are liaising with the Luss Estates solicitor to carry out all the due diligence.

The members area is under development and is not active for comments.

The idea is to try to collate much of the information that I receive in one place so that members can more easily access it, instead of trolling through numerous emails, which can get very tortuous in conversational mode.

If you are using a computer the information will appear in the left column and members can comment in the right column.

On a phone, the columns appear underneath one another.

You have to login before  you can add comment. The toolbar should be usable by anyone who if familiar with Word.

If you have anything to share, please type it here.

THE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN IS VERY IMPORTANT. IF SOMETHING IS INCLUDED IT IS VERY DIFFICULT LATER TO REVERSE IT.

BROAD DECISIONS ON GREEN BELTS ARE MADE.

The Council has now started the early preparation work for the next Local Development Plan (LDP3). The preparation process is covered in the draft Development Plan Scheme (DPS) Draft Development Plan Scheme | Argyll and Bute Council (argyll-bute.gov.uk). Engagement is important in the planning process - it influenced the current policies and proposals in the LDP2 and will influence the forthcoming plans and policies in LDP3. We are therefore seeking views on the content of the Participation Statement, which sets out how we intend to carry out this engagement (section 8 of the DPS). We would therefore like you to let us know:

·Do you agree with whom we intend to consult with at key stages (section 8.2) or are there any other groups you think should be included here?

·Do you agree with the engagement techniques set out at section 8.3 or are there any others you would like to see included?

·Do you have any other comments on the Participation Statement (Section 8)?

Should you wish to provide a response, please do this via the online form by Monday 25th March 2024.
