Flooding in Rhu and Shandon

At the last Community Council meeting it was agreed that we try to map all the culverts in our area and report our findings to Argyll and Bute. 

There is concern in Shandon in particular about the flooding which takes place after even a moderate rain on both the 814 and the slip road. The problems start up the hill by the railway line. 

We are asking the local residents to please report via the contact form at the bottom of the home page on our website or to any member of the Community Council.

We want you to tell us if you have a burn running through your garden plus how this water reaches the loch or the draining system if you have this information.

We also want to know the location of any blocked grids. Both Councillors present at the meeting said that you should report these to Argyll and Bute. Make sure when you do this that you get an incident number.
