Knotweed identification week

Invasive Species Week 2024 (20-26th May)
At the last meeting of Rhu and Shandon Community Council, it was agreed that we would try to identify all outbreaks of Japanese Knotweed in Rhu and Shandon. We will map them and inform landowners in the hope that they will treat the outbreaks. If you are willing to help with this please let either the Convener or the Secretary know which area you could investigate.
The image shown shows the pattern of the leaves, which is definitive.
A leaflet was distributed to all residents in 2015. If not have a copy there are still some available.
