Harvesting of Timber

 A useful meeting has been held with Scottish Woodlands to discuss issues involved with the harvesting of timber over the next 18 years from the wood on the hill behind Rhu.

The extraction will not start until next Summer but the upgrading of existing paths will start almost immediately and take 6-8 weeks.

We are seeking further clarification from the Roads Department at Argyll and Bute and will keep the community informed via our Newsletters and this website.

A meeting with the Community will take place in the Spring, before the start of the transportation of the logs through the village.
