Community events on December 1st

 In addition to the lights Switch on the green, many community groups are taking taking part in the start of Christmas.

In addition, Friday the 1st December is a special Rhu Christmas Events Day with the coming together of community groups.

• Blairvadach Outdoor Education Centre Christmas Open Day 1.30 to 3.15pm - The outdoor centre are opening the doors to the public with an opportunity for the community to come along and mingle with staff members who will inform on the wide range of work they undertake. Two tours will take place around the main areas of the facilities at 1.45 and 2.15pm on the benefits of the educational programmes that the outdoor centre delivers. Refreshments will be supplied.
• Rhu Primary School parents group are holding a Christmas Fair with a wide range of activities, including a Christmas jumper swap, children’s games, and mulled wine and mince pies within Rhu Church Hall 2.30-5.30pm
• The Royal Northern & Clyde Yacht Club are joining in the festive activities by opening up to the public from 4.30-6.30pm  The Bar will be open and free mulled wine and mince pies will be available.
• At the end of the light switch on event, the Rhu Inn will be throwing open the doors with a Christmas Party night including live entertainment with Mark Kyle 9pm to 12am.
