Scotland Womand Stand Event

Argyll and Bute Council are hosting a local hub event on Saturday 7th September 2019 which will tie into the national Scotland’s Women Stand event when 400 women will take over the debating chambers in the Scottish Parliament for a day of inspirational talks and workshops aimed at encouraging women to stand for elected positions.

The free event is being run in association with the Parliament Project and the Scottish Parliament and will take place in the Council Chamber, Kilmory, Lochgilphead from 9.30am until 3pm. The day will see our local women view the live screening of the national event followed by lunch and a workshop designed to assist women understand and explore the various elected positions in Scotland.
