Saturday 28th October 10.00 – 11.00 am Foodbank Collection
at Rhu & Shandon Church Grounds
Many of you will have seen the emergency appeal for donations by the Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank in last week Helensburgh Advertiser. They reported that "the Foodbank store shelves are nearly empty. as demand from local families reaches its highest level in 9 years." Celia Scanlan, Chair of the Foodbank Committee, said "Things are bleak at the Foodbank, with possibly only another week's supplies left in the stores."
Our wonderful caring community has generously supported the foodbank for many years. That spirit of generosity is needed now more than ever. We appreciate that the Cost of Living crisis affects us all, but with increasing numbers needling the foodbank support, any contribution - however small - will be gratefully appreciated.
