Sunday services will all start at 11am and will be led this month by Rev. Ann
Cameron for Communion on Sunday 5th February and on other Sundays by

members of our Worship Team

Saturday 4th February – Grounds work Party
Grounds work party to meet at the church at 10.00 am – 12.30 pm.
An Ivy, pothole and gravel day – no walking on the grass – because of our beautiful crocuses!!! See
separate notice for more information.
Every Tuesday in February (2.00 - 4.00pm) – Church Knit and Natter Group
Our weekly Knit and Natter group meets in Rhu & Shandon Church Blue Room and is working on
some new projects - Twiddle muffs for people suffering from Alzheimer’s; hats for premature
babies; and squares, hats and hand warmers for the church's ongoing project for KAS (Knit a
Square). Come along and enjoy a warm welcome, cup of tea/coffee and a lot of nattering. All
are welcome to come and join us even if you don’t knit but would enjoy the natter. Also, if you
would like to learn to knit – there are plenty of needles and wool to work with.
Every Thursday in February (from 1.00 pm) - Rhukulele Classes
Our Rhukulele group meets in Rhu & Shandon Church Hall. A new Complete Beginners Class starts
at 1pm, followed by the Intermediate class at 2.15 pm and the Advanced class at 3.15pm. For

Friday 17th February (2pm - 3.30pm) – Rhu & Shandon Men's Den
Our regular monthly Men's Den meets on Friday 17th February in Rhu & Shandon Church Hall. All
men of a certain age (those who have "been there and done that and got the T-shirt") will receive
a warm welcome, and of course tea/coffee. This month there will be some Pancakes to enjoy too.
Monday 20th February (2pm to 3.30pm) – Church Community Club
The next meeting of the Rhu & Shandon Church Community Club will be held on Monday 20th
February between 2.00 and 3.30pm. This month we will be celebrating Shrove Tuesday by enjoying
a pancake tea. Come and join us in our warm Church Hall with good company. Admission free –
Donations welcomed.
Saturday 25th February 10.00 – 11.00 – Foodbank collection in Rhu Church Grounds
Sunday 26th February (6.00 pm) - Sandwich Series Concert
Our next Sandwich Series Concert will be held on Sunday 26th Feb, 6pm in Rhu & Shandon Church,
when we will be entertained by Flutes Unlimited (a flute choir from Glasgow). More information
will follow.
