The Red Cross aims is to recruit 10,000 community volunteers by November 2019
- To recruit a pre-registered taskforce that can be contacted during a major incident
- To harness and coordinate the willingness of the community, and build resilience locally
- Enable individuals to play an active and immediate role in helping their community
