Electric bike and scooter safety

There have been a number of fire incidents  involving  the charging of the lithium batteries in e-bikes and e-scooters. It is important that these should be unplugged when charging is finished.

The advice is to use manufacturer recommended batteries and chargers, and these should be bought from known sellers, and product reviews should be checked  before buying. Be particularly careful about conversion kits
