Community Council meeting

The October meeting of the Community Council will be held on Wednesday 11th october at 7pm in the Rhu and Shandon Community Centre. Timber transport and the Christmas Lights switch on event are on the agenda. As usual, this is an open meeting.

We heard this morning that the removal of the diseased larch From Highlandman's and Torr Forests will start at the end of ths week. This means that 1,100 tonnes will be moved amounting to some 75 empty lorries in and 75 fully loaded lorries out. The times of operation are governed by the TTMP. ...

September Beach Clean

Our September beach clean, again organised by Lynda Baynan, was held on 16th and despite the fact that there were only four of us present we managed to collect an impressive amount of litter.
